Photographs are an essential part for objects documentation. The photo are used for objects identification and to record the object condition. There are difference techniques used for different type of objects to better capture the photo, such as raking light and micro-photography

Record drawing are drawing made from observation and exact measurement. The purpose of the drawing is to give away accurate information about the object that can be easily interpreted by the reader. It also can be used in complement with photography, showing the damage that may not picked up by the camera. 

Laboratory record card is a summery of the information about the object treated. In a brief format it present the relevant information needed to help the reader learn about the background information and what was done to the object.
